Terra Surti Thyme honey is one of the most appreciated of our honeys.
Known and appreciated since ancient times, it is obtained from the Thimus capitatus plant, an aromatic herb thanks to which bees produce a very fragrant and dense honey, (called satru in Sicilian dialect), which is collected between July and August.
It is characterized by a strong and spicy aroma, reminiscent of aromatic wood, mulled wine and cloves, while the taste is medium sweet and slightly balsamic.
Our tip: try it on the aperitif platter paired with gorgonzola, taleggio, brie, goat’s cheese and fontina: your friends will be so delighted that they will always want to have an aperitif with you!
